Prostate Cancer Men Masculinity Gender
 ¨Prostate cancer is the leading type of cancer in Irish men – 1 in 8 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. ¨Younger men because of their age at diagnosis will have to cope with survival issues specific to prostate cancer treatment for longer periods than older men with prostate cancer. ¨Younger men also report unique concerns relating to potency, sexuality, psychological, social activity, employment, financial worries, role performance and a decline in perceived masculinity, all of which contribute to reduced well-being and quality of life over time.
