Younger Men Prostate Cancer Impact
Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in Ireland and approximately one third of men with prostate cancer are under the age of 65 years at time of diagnosis. The biomedical aspects of prostate cancer, including identifying causes, screening and treatment modalities are well- researched. However, there is a paucity of research which considers the role of gender and masculinity in younger menís lives and how these factors influence their experience of the disease.
